Mammex product

MAMMEX MammoCAD has been in the development pipeline for five years. Our product has been developed in conjunction with practicing radiologists and is fully complementary with workflow in the mammography suite.

MAMMEX MammoCAD has been licensed for sale under the European Medical Device Directive with the CE Mark and the MAMMEX has been licensed for sale in Canada.

SCANIS has had encouraging success in European community. On mammograms from randomly selected cases at several clinical sites, MAMMEX MammoCAD detected all cancers that were missed two years ago in double readings, but are evident today on current mammograms. This indicates a high standard achieve results better than a double reading which underscores early detection capability.

Last year, private insurers covered 70% of woman 40 and over. Today, that number stands at over 90%. This positive upward trend confirms that private insurers see the importance of CAD mammography in early detection of breast cancer.

Facilities in Europe and Canada are finding success with the "Swedish model," which calls for screening services to be offered at local sites through economical means such as mobile mammography units. Images are then sent to high-volume central reading centers, where highly qualified, experienced readers review the images. Here in the U.S., progressive health care providers have begun to consider this concept, coupling traditional mammography screening in the field with MammoCAD screening devices. Finally MammoCAD systems like MAMMEX are adding significant value to full-field digital mammography (FFDM) systems to compensate for the display resolution limitations of these systems to bring the benefits of FFDM to the broadest range of the population.
