Once patient information has been entered into the MAMMEX system the operation of the device consists of: three simple steps.

First, the screening mammograms are assembled, placed into the digitizer and scanned

Next, each digitized image is processed by the MAMMEX system and analyzed to detect mass-like features and clusters of microcalcifications.

Finally, results of the analysis are displayed on each breast image for the regions scanned and detected

RAD + CAD

At this point the radiologist reads patient films in the usual manner and makes an initial interpretation. The radiologist then refers to results provided by the MAMMEX system to check for additional regions of interest.

RESULTS

Results may be reviewed either on-screen or from the printed patient report. Patient case data and analysis results are saved for further review.
